MSC Co-Director Mimi Ho has two decades of organizing and consulting experience — from building local organizing institutions to statewide and national policy campaigns — with a special focus on organizing low-income communities of color. She is passionate about how the internal shifts of individuals and organizations unleash big external impact. Mimi is a certified professional coach.

Mimi has served as a trainer and consultant with racial justice and immigrant rights groups including Western States Center and the Chinese Progressive Association in San Francisco. She ran Mobilize the Immigrant Vote’s pilot training program. Mimi co-authored “The Accidental Fundraiser,” a book on grassroots fundraising, with Stephanie Roth.

Mimi has served as statewide field director and co-director of Californians for Justice, national coordinator for health care campaign work at the Northwest Federation of Community Organizations (now the Alliance for a Just Society), and program director with Asian Pacific Environmental Network. Mimi grew up in the U.S. and Taiwan, and deeply appreciates being grounded and connected across communities. She also enjoys the fun & challenges of organizing her two young daughters, Olive and Juniper, which can require an even more strategic and comprehensive approach than campaigns!
