Rona Fernandez
Rona Fernandez is a fundraising consultant for social justice groups, a writer, a mother and a dancer. She born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and currently lives in Oakland. As a fundraiser she has worked as a staff or board member with various non-profits including Californians for Justice, the Asian Pacific Environmental Network, and the School of Unity and Liberation. She is currently a fundraising consultant at Klein & Roth Consulting and has worked with with social justice groups around the country including the Colorado Community Organizing Collaborative, PODER in San Francisco, Tewa Women United in New Mexico, Playworks and the Equal Justice Society. Rona’s writing has been featured in the Grassroots Fundraising Journal, Greater Good and Yes! magazines, as well as the anthology Are We Born Racist? New Insights from Neuroscience and Positive Psychology. She writes on topics ranging from family, race relations, fundraising for social movements, and grief and loss.
